Q- Why an Internet Show?
It seems as if there is always a trade shows to attend. These can become very costly for both lumber dealers and suppliers. It is difficult and expensive to attend them all. The internet show saves on the costs and time factors by presenting the suppliers specials to the PAL membership over the internet.
Q- Have past online shows been successful?
Yes! PAL members have used the internet show more than originally expected. The week long, 24 hour per day access allows PAL dealers to browse and place orders at their convenience.
Q- What do I need to do to participate?
Submit the registration forms on-line, along with the information about the specials you want to run, upload pictures of the products and a copy of your logo.
For 2009, all On-Line orders will be e-mailed to the PAL office.
Q- What did we learn from previous palshow.com about how to be successful?
We analyzed the suppliers that were the most successful to see what attributes made for a good show special. Here's what we came up with:
- Make your special "special". Put some of the money you saved from not having travel, food and lodging costs back into your special. Offer extended terms better discounts.
- Don't offer your whole line. Focus on items that will make PAL members take notice.
In summary, use the 80/20 rule, select your specials from the best items, put a great price on them, include show terms and put all the information on your show site. PAL members will respond with orders.
Q- What else can I do to have a successful show?
Work it! Send out mailings, make phone calls, and visit the dealers. It doesn't matter how you get the order.
Q- What are the deadlines?
We'd like your contract ASAP To save you money, there is a discount for getting your materials in early. Check the booth contract for details. If you have market sensitive pricing, we can delay that without penalty but we need all other show information so we can build your site. Incomplete submissions do not qualify for discounts.
